ying lowrey is deputy director of Tsinghua research center for chinese entrepreneurs

The Center for Chinese Entrepreneurs’ Studies was established at Tsinghua University in July 2010, with support from the Office of Overseas Chinese Affairs (OOCA) of China's State Council. Uniting researchers from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University as well as leading overseas scholars, our aim is to provide a prominent platform for Chinese and foreign governments, organisations, researchers and enterprises to exchange knowledge about Chinese entrepreneurs at home and abroad. The Center has built a unique database drawn from a wide range of theoretical analysis, policy analysis, quantitative methods, and case studies on Chinese management styles, investment behaviours and trading patterns. We have published volumes of reports and series of books under titles such as Tsinghua Economic History, Global Migration and China, International Chinese Entrepreneurial Studies. Combining expertise in economics, management science, sociology, international politics and history, our cutting-edge research aims to learn from Chinese entrepreneurs by both studying and serving them. On behalf of the OOCA and Tsinghua University, the Center has also organised Chinese Business Leaders' Public Lectures and Tsinghua International Forum for Chinese Entrepreneurs. In addition, we deliver a special Executive MBA program, which has been well-received by Chinese entrepreneurs overseas. Currently, the Center has four branches in Toronto, Rome, Singapore and Brisbane, to assist in its studies of the local Chinese enterprises in North America, Europe, Southeast Asia and Australasia.
